The key intention of this advocacy workshop was to reflect and strengthen the partnership among the organizations participating, so as to address the concerns of Adolescents and Youth. Also it was a platform that provided an opportunity for the adolescents and youth to come together, express themselves, share their experiences with the organizations and find a pathway wherein they can live a sustainable and healthy life.
On 23rd, June 2022, SAIUJYAM in association with Sneha Charitable Trust organized an advocacy workshop for the youth from Belagavi, Dharwad, Haveri and Uttara Kannada districts. Some organizations working in the field of Health, Education and Livelihoods to address the growing needs of children, adolescents and youth living with HIV participated.
Shri Sanjai K. V., Managing Trustee, SAIUJYAM, stressed upon the need to provide training, skill building, medical support, financial support for education, psychosocial support to the adolescents and youth which is the need of the hour.
Panel discussion was the most engaging session, as the students and the leaders from the organization had a great opportunity to interact and understand the needs of HIV youth and adolescents. Some of the youth shared
their painful journey and expressed their concerns towards getting educated, secured jobs, healthy living, emotional needs, trainings and exposure to different environment for their individual growth.

The representatives from Saiujyam, UNICEF, DCPU, Snehagram, ART Centre, Hubballi and Dharwad and various other organizations from Belagavi, Dharwad, Haveri and Uttara Kannada districts who were a part of the discussions assured the youth and adolescents of all the support.
